'Agneepath' team reunites for 'Shuddhi'

Mumbai: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan, producer Karan Johar and director Karan Malhotra are teaming up again for a film post the success of 'Agneepath'.

While 'Agneepath' was a remake of 1991 movie of the same name, their next film, 'Shuddhi', is based on an original story and will hit theatres on Diwali next year.

"It's a large-scale love story, a genre I love. I had a wonderful experience. Karan has a fantastic vision, a combination of aesthetic and commercial sense. Hrithik is a close friend and an outstanding actor. So, it’s great that the three of us are teaming up again," Johar said in a statement.

"Karan has been preparing for this film for over a year. I've never seen a director work a year in advance on pre-production."

Hrithik, who played the lead in 'Agneepath' remake successfully, is looking forward to get back with the team again.

"I'm really excited to work with the two Karans again.’Agneepath' is an extremely special film for me and I can't wait to recreate a new world again," said Hrithik.

This will be Johar's second Diwali outing since his directorial debut 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in 1998.

Johar is hoping that the festival will be as lucky for 'Shuddhi' as it was for 'KKHH'.

The film is scheduled to go on floor by the end of 2013.
