‘Go Goa Gone’ Is Dead Funny : Review

Image
Rating :- A zom-com – a zombie comedy – that sets up the attitude that is expected from the audience: suspend disbelief. If you are able to do that then you will buy into the stoner world of two urban slackers and their virtuous friend who find themselves in the middle of a bizarre experience. When Luv (Vir Das) gets dumped by his girlfriend and Hardik (Kunal Khemu) loses his job, the boys pile on to their friend Bunny’s (Anand Tiwari) work trip to Goa. Once there, they learn of a rave party organized by the Russian mafia on a remote island. It’s a hedonistic and heady party – with the latest party drug being served on a silver platter. Things couldn’t get better for the trio until the following morning when they discover the island’s secret. It’s populated by zombies. The only person who can save them from this nightmare is Boris (Saif Ali Khan), a party organizer and former Mafioso who ‘kills dead people’. Having rescued Luv’s friend Luna (Puja Gupta), the

Being a Kapoor, acting is genetic: Kareena

Image
Mumbai: When Kareena Kapoor says that acting is in her genes, the actress, who represents the fourth generation of her family, is absolutely right as the Kapoor family enjoys about an 85-year long association with arclight, greasepaint and camera. It was Kareena's great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor who laid down the foundation of acting in the family by entering showbiz in 1928, which was taken forward by his three sons - Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor whose wife Jennifer was the first female from the clan to act in movies. Later, all three sons of Raj Kapoor - Randhir, Rishi and Rajeev faced the camera. In the fourth generation, it was Randhir and actress Babita's daughter Karisma who carried forward the legacy of her family. Later, Kareena followed in her sister's footsteps. As Indian cinema celebrates its 100 years, talking about her association with filmdom, Kareena told us: "Being a Kapoor, acting is genetic. My sister paved the way for me

~~ 'The Great Gatsby' ~~

Image
'The Great Gatsby' follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super-rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke, Elizabeth Debicki and Amitabh Bachchan. In fact my brother is 22 years old and my mother feels his age of marriage has passed," Kangana said at the 'Thank You Mom' event. When asked if she would go for a love or an arranged marriage, Kangana refused to answer. Kangana's mother Asha who was accompanying her at the event was all praise for her. Lily Collins to star in zombie movie - Most bizarre films ever

Image
With her classic good looks, Lily Collins looks like her perfect role would be in a period drama, so we were more than a little shocked when it was recently revealed the actress will be starring in the strangely named movie Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The movie, which is in the pipeline, is a zombie take on Jane Austen's classic novel. Directed by Burr Steers, the film would be based on the 'mash-up' novel by Seth Grahame Smith, which combines the 19th-century English writer's famous story with that of an army of undead zombies. Natalie Portman is one of the film's co-producers and the 31-year-old Black Swan star had originally intended to star as Elizabeth Bennet herself when she first joined the project in 2009. Pride Prejudice and Zombies won't be the first bizarre movie to hit our cinema screens though...
