'Lunchbox' is a love story, set in Mumbai, between a young housewife and a middle aged man. It's a story of a beautiful relationship triggered by the wrong delivery of one in 8 million lunchboxes that is delivered daily by Mumbai's now world famous Dabbawallas. 'Shorts' unveiled!

Anurag Kashyap, who directed a short film for "Bombay Talkies", wove together five short stories in 'Shorts', which is coming out on July 12. The filmmaker believes that short films are like a gateway to the bigger movies. "It (short films) is not a trend, it's just an opportunity where different people are getting to showcase their work, which will then lead them onto a feature film," the 40-year-old said at the first look launch of "Shorts". Five different directors helmed five short stories for 'Shorts', which has already wowed movie connoisseurs in the global arena and Kashyap added: "They are very good short films, they have won awards internationally in the last two years." Neeraj Ghaywan, Shlok Sharma, Siddharth Gupta, Anirban Roy and Rohit Pandey have contributed to 'Shorts'. Richa Chadda, Huma Qureshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Murari Kumar besides some new faces star in the five films' cast. ...

Nawazuddin Siddiqui lucky to escape Maoists

Nawazuddin Siddiqui who was shooting for Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa in Maoist-infested area of Shimultala in Bihar.Apparently beautiful hill resort is very well known for its Maoist activities. Nawaz and his unit braved the dangers as the film demanded the location.the crew had to hastily leave Shimultala to avoid a confrontation with the Maoists.Nawaz, “We had to wrap up for our shooting on Friday and quickly leave as there was a bandh call from the Maoists on Saturday. No one in the area dares to defy closure orders from the Maoists. We had no option but to pack our bags and leave.” The rest of the shooting was completed in Kolkata. Speaking on Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s film, Nawaz says, “I wanted to work with Buddadeb Dasgupta from the time I saw his film Tahader Katha.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui not Under Pressure

  Nawazuddin Siddiqui , who received a special mention at the 60th National Film Awards for four films, says there won’t be any pressure on him even after such a big honour. Nawazuddin received the special mention for four of his films – “ Kahaani ”, “ Gangs of Wasseypur ”, “ Dekh Indian Circus ” and “ Talaash ”. “National Awards, of course feel good. But there should not be any pressure. I will continue to work like I have been. Not just the National Award, but it goes for any award, there should be no pressure,” Nawazuddin said here on Thursday at the premiere of his new film ‘Aatma’.Directed by Suparn Verma, ‘ Aatma ’, which released on Friday, also stars Bipasha Basu in lead role.“You should work according to your instinct. It is definitely the most prestigious award and that means appreciation for your work,” he added.

'Aatma' is a haunting journey of a single mother Maya Verma who finally starts her life afresh with her six year old daughter Nia. As the horrific journey unravels, the battle to save her only daughter gets tougher and challenging. But she denies defeat even if the stakes are impossible.
