 Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Amitabh Bhattacharya, Amit Trivedi, Swanand Kirkire, Vikramaditya Motwane, Bhushan Kumar, Madhu Mantena and many others were present at the audio launch of 'Lootera'. National award-winning music composer Amit Trivedi said his renditions in 'Lootera' are a tribute to the legendary composer R.D. Burman. "The music of this film is a tribute to Pancham Da (R D Burman) in terms of melody and orchestration. I am happy that the music is getting good response," Trivedi said at the audio launch. Songs like "Sawaar Loon", "Manmarziyan", "Monta Re" were performed by playback singer Shilpa Rao and lyricist-singers Amitabh Bhattacharya and Swanand Kirkire at the event. The 34-year-old musician himself sung the heart rending "Zinda". He said the script and the director drove him to come up with such fabulous music. Ranveer, who stepped into the world of 1950s set in Bengal, said, "In my earlier films, I have always been high on energy...Smiling. But I am happy I got to attempt something different with 'Lootera'. Initially I was frustrated. I felt I couldn't do this character. I couldn't get it right. It was Vikram, who convinced me that I could do it. In the film I play an intense lover. I have also cried in the film." "This role has been the most difficult till now. It was quite challenging. Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha says that stepping into the world of 1950s Kolkata for Vikramaditya Motwane's period romance 'Lootera' was a difficult but fulfilling experience. The first look of the film, unveiled on Thursday, shows a black and white image of Sonakshi and actor Ranveer Singh together in a taxi. Sonakshi saw rushes of the film and was absolutely blown by the rushes of 'Lootera', which is inspired by O Henry's famous story 'The Last Leaf'. "'Lootera' has been the most difficult shooting experience for me so far. In terms of character, look, performance, locations.. Everything had to be from an era I knew nothing about. There were times while shooting I would wake up and say to myself 'why am I doing this?' "But when Vikramaditya showed me the trailer and a few rushes from the film, I had my answer right there.
