Many of us spend hours clicking through YouTube watching the latest music videos, so it makes sense that the first ever YouTube Music Awards were streamed exclusively online on the popular video site. The winners of the awards were voted for by YouTube users and the New York ceremony was attended by the likes of Lady Gaga and Vanessa Hudgens. The show was hosted by the actor Jason Schwartzman and performance artist Reggie Watts, who were only given a small number of bullet points about the awards by the ceremony's creative director Spike Jonze. In other words, they presented the entire show without a script! Could this be the future of showbiz awards shows? Perhaps the Grammys and the various MTV awards would grow in popularity if they followed in the YouTube Music Awards' footsteps? New York: Lady Gaga is after canceling her 'Born This Way Ball' tour due to injury, according to reports. One-month after undergoing hip surgery, the singer's manager said that she's "doing unbelievable," the New York Daily News reported. Vincent Herbert said in an interview on Tuesday that the 26-year-old Grammy winner is "doing wonderful, doing great." Herbert said that Gaga is finishing her new album, 'ARTPOP', and is "ready to get back to work." He calls the new album "very, very refreshing" and said that the pop star continues to "push the envelope."

New York: A 24-Karat gold plated wheelchair with a black leather seat complete with a removable leather canopy has been created for Lady Gaga to help her recover post-hip surgery. Gaga has commissioned Ken Borochov of the luxury brand Mordekai to create the one-of-a-kind wheelchair, the New York Post reported. The chair can also recline all the way back if Gaga needs to lie down. Borochov, who's designed pieces for Nicki Minaj, Kanye West and Cher Lloyd, said about Gaga's wheels, "I certainly wasn't expecting that phone call and have never done a wheelchair but am always up for a challenge and was thrilled to create what I affectionately dubbed the Chariot, a chair fit only for a queen." The celebrity stylist had only one week to complete the project. Equal parts luxury and rock and roll, Borochov was inspired by a queen's throne for Gaga's chair and the leather portions were inspired by a motorcycle jacket. Gaga underwent surgery last month...

The "Born This Way" singer thanked fans in a blog post on her Littlemonsters fan website on Thursday, saying the setback was "just a bump in the road."
