‘Highway’ is Imtiaz Ali’s dream project?

Image
There’s a story in your heart for years, a world you can’t wait to get into - that’s Highway," says Imtiaz. "The grace flowed in as soon as I decided to go on this journey-Rahman sir agreed to join. I feel this movie needs him more than ever before. Then we got the ideal cast - Alia and Randeep, and the ideal crew."

Why did Randeep Hooda slap Alia Bhatt?

Image
Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda, who are fetching one assignment after the other these days, have been signed for Imtiaz Ali's Highway. The shooting for the movie has begun and both of them are reportedly working hard on their characters. Now, the latest being heard from the sets of this film is that Hooda recently left the crew members shocked by planting a tight slap on Alia's face. Well, it wasn't a result of any personal grudge. The act was a part of the movie. Yes! In one odd scene the script demanded Hooda to slap Alia and after taking the consent from the actress Imtiaz began the shoot. Apparently, in such scenes it is ensured that the act does not cause much pain to the actor and appears to be authentic at the same time. However, Hooda got so engrossed in the scene that he actually gave a very tight slap to the lady leaving the director and others present on the sets stunned for a while. It was now Alia's turn to react and the crew members we...

~~ Murder 3 : Review, Rating ~~

Image
We see the characters going through or putting others through a test of love. To the ignorance of the makers, the film gradually becomes a test of your patience and intellect. Ultimately it ends up cheating you. For starters, there is no murder in the film. None. Zero. What we see murdered is the filmmaker’s ability to think as what ends up on screen lacks any sort of conviction. This is the directorial debut of Vishesh Bhatt (Mukesh Bhatt’s son) who shows no promise whatsoever. The first hour is Sara Loren trying very hard to act. The second hour is Aditi Rao Hydari trying to rescue the film. For two and a half hours, Randeep Hooda is trying to be taken seriously. I don’t even want to bother calling it a bad film, it’s just a waste of celluloid. The first hour of the film is lackluster and thoroughly uninteresting. It only picks up post-intermission but by then it is too late. Why? Not so much because of the plot. There is an intriguing plot twist during the second half of the ...

~~ Haven't reached my destination: Randeep ~~

Image
New Delhi: For Randeep Hooda the path to success was not easy. After making his debut in 'Monsoon Wedding' in 2001, it took him four years to bag his next project. But now, when he has got a place for himself in the industry, he is not bragging. "Right now it all looks fine, but that was not the case some years back. It was bleak, dark. The success right now is just a step in my journey. I don't think I have reached my destination yet," Randeep told IANS. "I am just accumulating more and more. All my choices of work are half chances, and my half chances have been working well, but I am not over the moon and shouting from rooftop about it because when I was down and out, I wasn't groveling. So I think I have found a balance of not getting too elated with success and not too disappointed with failures," added the 36-year-old. Milan Luthria's 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' in 2010 came as a breakthrough in Randeep's career, when he was...

~~!! Alia Bhatt-Randeep Hooda starrer Highway’s Shooting Will Start Soon !!~~

Image
More than a year after ROCKSTAR , Imtiaz Ali is now gearing up to get going with HIGHWAY . However, despite the relevance and the significance of the film’s title, he isn’t going on an overdrive. Well, now it is reported that the director-producer is all geared to start shooting after completing all the pre-strategies. “That’s the way he works. If at all he would have been a man in hurry, he would have signed half a dozen films after the success of JAB WE MET (2007). However, he waited for a couple of years before releasing LOVE AAJ KAL (2009). Post that he waited again for two more years for ROCKSTAR (2011) to arrive. It wasn’t planned that way for the Ranbir starrer but no one lost patience on the film,” says a close associate. “He and producer Sajid Nadiadwala are sure that they would be bringing the film on floors soon. In fact for Alia it would be a double whammy since she is currently also shooting for Nadiadwala’s 2 States. Ditto for
