Anurag Kashyap, who directed a short film for "Bombay Talkies", wove together five short stories in 'Shorts', which is coming out on July 12. The filmmaker believes that short films are like a gateway to the bigger movies. "It (short films) is not a trend, it's just an opportunity where different people are getting to showcase their work, which will then lead them onto a feature film," the 40-year-old said at the first look launch of "Shorts". Five different directors helmed five short stories for 'Shorts', which has already wowed movie connoisseurs in the global arena and Kashyap added: "They are very good short films, they have won awards internationally in the last two years." Neeraj Ghaywan, Shlok Sharma, Siddharth Gupta, Anirban Roy and Rohit Pandey have contributed to 'Shorts'. Richa Chadda, Huma Qureshi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Murari Kumar besides some new faces star in the five films' cast. ...

Irrfan Khan, Arjun Rampal, Rishi Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Nikhil Advani, Aakash Dahiya, Ehsaan Noorani, Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa and many other celebrities were present at the launch of 'D-Day'. "'D-Day' is about the most wanted man in India. The story is about an operation that takes place in Karachi to bring this man back to Indian shores," says director Nikhil Advani. Deepika Padukone, Huma Qureshi, Mandira Bedi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sasha Agha and Kunal Kohli were present at a brunch organized by People magazine. Deepika, who was recently declared India's Most Beautiful Woman by People magazine, unveiled the Most Beautiful 2013 edition. "I have always said that people should find me desirable for the person I am - whatever little they know me through my interviews and interactions. I hope it doesn't have much to do with beauty and physical attributes because that, for me, is all artificial. They are superficial things," said Deepika Padukone at the brunch.    Huma says she doesn't care about any rumours surrounding her camaraderie with Gangs Of Wasseypur producer Anurag Kashyap.  "Both Anurag and Kalki are my friends. As for Abhishek, we have just started shooting together a month back."   If grapevine is to be believed, Huma's link-up with Kashyap, who gave Huma her debut project Gangs Of Wasseypur, is causing trouble in the filmmaker and his wife, actress Kalki Koechlin's life.   "At the end of the day, I don't want to say anything about it. I just laugh it out. I rather let my work do the talking. Ultimately, today you will talk about it, tomorrow you will forget about it. Eventually what matters is your work," she added.
