 It was a fantastic offering of perfect ready-to-wear and occasion outfits that Tarun Tahiliani presented to an elite audience in a show that set the fashionable pace of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2013. The Tarun Tahiliani Design Studio worked around traditional embroidery and innovative digital prints to give a fresh look to modern Indian styles. The textured handlooms, silks, and jacquards were brought to centre stage with exciting silhouettes. The sexy shifts, innovative kurtas, experimental saris and striking handkerchief hemlines were aimed at the trendy contemporary fashion followers. In many creations, the unusual drapes and construction revealed Tarun’s mastery over silhouettes. Colour blocking took on a unique meaning, as separates were teamed to offer myriad options.
