The Hello! Hall Of Fame Awards 2013 was a star-studded affair with the who's who of Bollywood in attendance. Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Ileana D'Cruz, Ranveer Singh, Imran Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Gulzar were among those present at the awards gala.  The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-awaited film 'Ram Leela' was unveiled Monday by the director and the film's lead pair - Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Deepika, who is playing Leela in the film, said: "Leela is the female version of Ram, who is very vulnerable but emotionally strong." Ranveer described his character of Ram as raw, energetic and an intense young boy from Gujarat. For the trailer launch, Bhansali chose a Gujarati theme - the PVR complex in Mumbai was completely decorated in Gujarati style. A special rangoli of the poster was made and the cinema hall was decorated with earthen lamps. Ushers were dressed in traditional Gujarati costumes, while the food menu had delicacies like dhokla and buttermilk. Directed and produced by Bhansali, the film is said to be an adaptation of Shakespeare's epic love story 'Romeo and Juliet', set in violent times.

Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Vikramaditya Motwane, Gauri Shinde, R Balki, Kiran Rao, Anju Mahendru, Chetan Bhagat, Poonam Sinha, Jackky Bhagnani and many other celebrities were present at the special screening of 'Lootera'. Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh promoted their upcoming film 'Lootera' on Star Plus' dance reality show 'India's Dancing Superstar'. The stars showed off their dancing skills, along with the contestants and judges of the show - Riteish Deshmukh, Geeta Kapoor and Ashley Lobo. 'Lootera' will be released on July 5. National award-winning music composer Amit Trivedi said his renditions in 'Lootera' are a tribute to the legendary composer R.D. Burman. "The music of this film is a tribute to Pancham Da (R D Burman) in terms of melody and orchestration. I am happy that the music is getting good response," Trivedi said at the audio launch. Songs like "Sawaar Loon", "Manmarziyan", "Monta Re" were performed by playback singer Shilpa Rao and lyricist-singers Amitabh Bhattacharya and Swanand Kirkire at the event. The 34-year-old musician himself sung the heart rending "Zinda". He said the script and the director drove him to come up with such fabulous music.  Prominent names from Bollywood, including veteran writer Javed Akhtar and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, turned up at a special screening of 'Bombay Talkies'. The screening, held at Light Box in Santacruz, also saw celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Randeep Hooda, Gauri Shinde, Punit Malhotra, Abhishek Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Sonam Kapoor, Ritesh Sidhwani and Kalki Koechlin. Ranveer, who stepped into the world of 1950s set in Bengal, said, "In my earlier films, I have always been high on energy...Smiling. But I am happy I got to attempt something different with 'Lootera'. Initially I was frustrated. I felt I couldn't do this character. I couldn't get it right. It was Vikram, who convinced me that I could do it. In the film I play an intense lover. I have also cried in the film." "This role has been the most difficult till now. It was quite challenging. While essaying the role, I would think of Madhubalaji, Waheeda Rehmanji and Suchitra Sen. I am quite excited about this film. I am really looking forward to it," added Sonakshi Sinha. The hostess asked him if he wanted to have vegetarian or non-veg food. Ranveer wasn't sure and asked for some time to decide. Later when he asked for the non-veg fare, the hostess apologised saying it was over. Instead, she offered him the vegetarian option.He expressed his displeasure quite openly and told out aloud how he would not accept even water from the flight's staff.

Kolkata: 'Gundaay' co-stars Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have denied reports of rivalry, saying they share a good chemistry and are happy to work together. "We know each other from a time when none of us were actors. I know Ranveer for a long time. He is a very sporting personality," Arjun said. The actor said that such rumours started because his debut film 'Ishaqzaade' and Ranveer's movie 'Band Baja Baraat' was released at the same time. "But we can't do anything about these stories," said Arjun. "'Kai Po Che!' is a fantastic film. I really hope that this film does well because such films should do well. It is a wonderfully performed film by all the actors. The performances are such that they touch your heart," Hrithik said at the premiere of the film. "They (cast) are very-very endearing. It doesn't look like it is their first film. I am very, very proud of this film, Abhishek and the entire team. I think all the actors will go very very far because they all are absolutely brilliant," he added. Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kai Po Che', featuring Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh, Raj Kumar Yadav and Amrita Puri, hits theatres this Friday.
