Katrina Kaif to play twin role in Seeta Aur Geeta remake
Katrina Kaif, the queen of Bollywood, is all set to surprise her fans with her double role stint in the remake of the '70s hit Seeta Aur Geeta. According to sources, Katrina Kaif has been offered to reprise the twin protagonists played by dreamgirl Hema Malini in the original Seeta Aur Geeta.
A leading tabloid reports that Katrina Kaif greatly admires the original film starring Hema Malini, Sanjeev Kumar and Dharmendra, and even expressed her wish of producing the remake.
Grapevine has it that director Ramesh Sippy, who worked the original film, will also work on the new version, however, his son Rohan Sippy has declared it to be a rumor. He said, “Dad is not directing the movie.”
As per sources, the filmmakers are very excited over Katrina Kaif's interest in the project, and have gone ahead to offer her a choice at selecting the team she wants to work with. Another source says, "The rights are not with Sippy as there is a dispute between the Sippy brothers regarding it. Ramesh could be directing it but only after he wins the rights."
Both Katrina Kaif and Sippy's banner are now busy planning out the project and working on nitty-gritties involved. However, Ramesh Sippy as well as Katrina Kaif were unavailable for
comment.
The Bollywood bombshell Katrina Kaif, apparently, has some really promising projects at hand including Main Krishna Hoon (cameo), Bombay Talkies where she is playing herself, Dhoom 3: Back in Action with Aamir Khan and Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan.
