Priyanka Chopra 'kicked' out of Salman's Kick

The buzz is that Priyanka Chopra has lost the opportunity to work with Salman Khan in the upcoming movie Kick. She has reportedly been rejected by the Dabangg Khan and Deepika Padukone has been taken aboard for the project.

If sources are to be believed, Priyanka has suffered this loss because of her close bond of friendship with Shahrukh Khan. Everyone seems to be talking about the growing closeness between Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra these days and though Salman was keen on working with her in the movie he couldn’t ignore the fact that she is friend with his ace rival. “Everyone knows how close Priyanka is to Shahrukh Khan. Salman would never dream of keeping friendship with anyone who is close to Shahrukh”, shared a source close.

The filmmakers thus began looking for another actress who could carry out the role well and Deepika it is! “Deepika Padukone is to romance Salman in ‘Kick’…looks like Priyanka’s close proximity with King Khan (Shahrukh Khan) has made her lose the role”, revealed another source. Well, in this case, Priyanka’s closeness with Shahrukh has certainly benefited Deepika big time!

It is also being heard that besides the reason stated above there was another reason why the filmmakers opted for Deepika instead of Priyanka and that is the film’s requirement to feature certain difficult stunts by the female lead. Yes! The film demands the leading lady to deliver some challenging stunts and it was agreed that Deepika would be able to perform them better. “Sajid Nadiadwala wants Salman’s leading lady in Kick to perform difficult martial arts and stunts. Deepika is perfect for the part”, shared a source.


Apparently, Salman is glad at the latest addition to the Kick’s cast. A source claims to have overheard Salman stating that it would be a wonderful experience working with Deepika and that they would make a great pair.
