No Salman Khan movie at the Box Office this year!
Salman Khan’s
popularity has increased manifolds over the last few years as he has
consistently been giving one hit after the other. While he has had a
host of movie projects in the last few years it is being heard that the Dabangg Khan may not have even a single movie releasing this year.
Directorial venture of Sohail Khan, Mental, starring Salman Khan is eagerly being awaited by his fans however, to their disappointment the movie’s release has reportedly been scheduled for January 2014. Thus, the chances of his only release in the months to come have been slaughtered.
Mental’s shooting has already begun and as per the sources it would be completed within 135 days. “In keeping with the screenplay, it will take the Khans around 135 days to complete the shooting”, shared a source. The movie includes some very tough action sequences and considering Salman’ nerve trouble Sohail wants to be very careful while shooting these even if it means spending a little more time. “There are five major action sequences including the high-octane climax, which takes place on a highway with Salman bringing all traffic to a halt. Most importantly, everything is planned bearing in mind Salman’s nerve trouble (Trigeminal Neuralgia). Sohail wants to ensure it doesn’t aggravate in any manner whatsoever”, added the source.
Apparently, as per the set schedule Mental is expected to wrap up much before 2014, however, the film makers have pushed its release date for next year to avoid competition with other big budget movies such as Krrish 3 and Dhoom 3. While Krrish 3 is expected to release around Diwali, the much awaited sequel of Dhoom series has been scheduled for a release around Christmas. Mental is thus likely to be released in Jan-mid. According to a source, “they might
come with Mental on Tuesday for the benefit Makar Sankranti might give them'”.
However, irked with the question about the movie’s release date, Sohail recently stated, “I’ll come when I am ready”.
