 Mumbai based husband-and-wife, Falguni and Shane Peacock, launched their fashion label in August 2002, aiming to create a perfect fusion of western cuts and Indian embellishments.

While Bollywood stars like Sameera Reddy, Neha Dhupia, Sonakshi Sinha, Genelia D'Souza and Sophie Choudry among others have become Peacock loyalists; international celebrities like Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Fergie, Nicole Scherzinger and Rihanna have sported their designs at various red carpet events.

Socialite Paris Hilton, who recently attended the designer duo's show at New York Fashion Week, is said to be in awe of their "incredible" designs, and is often spotted wearing them.

Hilton sported a baby pink fully-embellished sheer feathered gown at Cannes amfAR gala this year. She had even flown down to Goa in 2012 to walk as a showstopper for the designers at India Resort Fashion Week.

In an interview with IANS, Shane said, “We see that people in the Indian fashion industry are becoming more aware of international brands and international designers. Everyone seems to know the latest fashion trends. There is an influx of luxury brands, which was a rare commodity 10 years back.”

Talking about today's designers, Falguni said, “The day a designer’s creative thought become stagnant, his work will stop being sought after."
