The "controversial" bikini round has been dropped from the 63rd Miss World pageant.

However, the organisers have settled for a lesser but visually appealing round - Beach Fashion - which had the contestants sashay by the pool in pretty vibrant sarongs.

As many as 130 contestants from 130 countries strutted their stuff in sexy sarongs.

Femina Miss World India 2013 Navneet Kaur Dhillon wore a pretty box-print sarong which accentuated her contours.

The final round will be held on September 28 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
