Miss World 2013: Meet India's Navneet Kaur Dhillon

For 20-year-old Navneet Kaur Dhillon winning the Miss Femina Miss India 2013 title was nothing short of a dream come true. With the world at her feet, partying hard and celebrating with folks is what anyone expected of the youngster. But this beauty queen surprised us all with her grit and determination.

When asked about the future, a focused and sorted Navneet said, "Right now Miss World is my aim, which is very important to me. But definitely, Bollywood is my next destination."

Crowned Femina Miss India 2013 in a star studded grand finale of the 50th edition of the beauty pageant, Dhillon showed positive signs of bringing home Miss World title. She said, "It has been 12 years since we won the Miss World crown. So I think it is my responsibility to bring it back."

While preparing for the coveted Miss World title Navneet received a bunch of modelling offers. And why not! She walked the ramp during Rajasthan Fashion Week, India Bridal Fashion Week and several others.

Navneet looked stunning in an Indo-Western bridal gown, embellished with traditional embroidery and vibrant zari and threadwork at RFW 2013. "I have never walked the ramp before but I am completely in love with the creations of the designer," she said.

Gearing up for the prestigious Miss World title didn't come easy for the beauty queen. She was under a strict diet and had to work out regularly. Then in second year of graduation, Navneet had a tough time focusing both on academics and Miss World.

Navneet has a fun and creative side to her too. She enjoys horse riding, photography and gardening during her spare time. She loves to cuddle and play with her pet dog.

What's best about this Miss India is, she is always on her mettle and is prepared for what the future holds for her. Talking about her Bollywood plans, she said, "I am open to do films. I am looking forward to do quality work where I'll get to show my acting skills." She wants to work with Ranbir Kapoor and Akshay Kumar.

Aware of the global fashion dynamics, Navneet says she prefers colours like red and electric blue to bling.

A winner of Pond's Femina Miss Glowing Skin title, she also takes good care of her skin, and believes excessive use of cosmetic products can spoil it.

Yes, we have hopes pinned on our beauty export and she's sure to make us proud. In a nutshell, Dhillon is trying her best to increase her chances of bringing back the coveted crown to the country after 12 years.
